This role can be casual or permanent part-time.
Job Description
Supervise work routines and staff performance;
Ensure the main bar and/or Bistro and related areas are set-up and staff are prepared for service;
Maintain a constant, visible physical presence in public areas during opening hours;
Ensure compliance with RSA and food safety laws and company policy and procedures;
Act as first point of contact in the absence of senior management;
Direct, control and plan the activities of the Bar and/or Bistro area;
Monitor Bar and/or Bistro kiosk/cafe stocks and use to minimise waste;
Provide hands-on support with Bar and/or Bistro set-up and food service as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
relevant operational and leadership experience in the hospitality/Club or allied industries, with particular emphasis on beverage and food services;
experience in gaming, KENO, TAB, ideally including change-box or similar competencies;
demonstrated maturity and good judgement in dealing with a wide range of staff and patrons, sometimes in challenging situations;
flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays;
experience in ordering, cash handling and associated procedures;
holding a current RSA and RSG certificate will be important.
